Charine Roy

Although my day job is in engineering, I have been surrounded by art from a very young age (my father is an artist, my mother a musician), and it will always be an important part of my life. The more classic art forms (drawing, painting) will always be a staple, but I enjoy exploring other mediums, such as metalworking and fabrics.

 

The combining of art and science is another source of interest for me. I am a huge fan of Arthur Ganson, with his very technical moving machines that are also sculptural works of art. Even a painting can have a message that is very scientifically based. It is these combinations that I find especially fun.
